Date Night

Both married and engaged couples are invited to the following:

Fellowship: with other married & engaged couples who value having a great marriage. This is a great opportunity to meet other couples in our parish in a relaxed environment.

Formation: to revitalize the vocation and sacrament of marriage by helping couples to learn, live, and then share God’s plan for a joy-filled marriage.

Enrichment: each month we want to walk away with at least one new skill, insight or piece of encouragement to strengthen our marriage.

Sessions are held on the Second Friday of the month from 7-9pm, October – April. Sessions are held in St. Martha’s Hall at St. Peter’s Church. Couples can start arriving at 6:30pm for appetizers, wine, and social time. We then start the marriage topic of the night at 7pm. Afterwards, couples are invited to go out on their own date elsewhere. Childcare is available.

Adult and teen volunteers are needed to provide childcare during Date Night sessions. We also need volunteers to provide appetizers or baked goods (pan of bars, dozen cookies, or any type of dessert). These may be dropped off at St. Martha’s Hall between 6:30-7:00 pm on the 2nd Friday of each month.

If you are interested in participating in the sessions, simply attend one of the nights at St. Martha’s Hall. Feel free to attend any or all sessions, as each is a different topic. Invite other couples that you think would benefit as well!  Registration is not required.

Most of the monthly communications are done by email. The email contains information about the upcoming Date Night, announcements, and a list of appetizer & wine potluck lists so you can tell what other people are bringing.
