  • Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis – The Archdiocese supports and provides for a community of approximately 800,000 Catholics in and around the Twin Cities metropolitan area and suburban communities.
  • Minnesota Catholic Conference of Bishops (MCC) – The public policy voice of the Catholic Church in Minnesota. MCC supports the ministry of our state’s Catholic bishops by working with political and community leaders to shape legislation that serves human dignity and the common good, educating Catholics and the public about the ethical and moral framework that should be applied to public policy choices, and mobilizing the Catholic community to make its voice heard in the public arena.
  • U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops – An assembly of the hierarchy of the United States who jointly exercise certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful. The purpose of the Conference is to promote the greater good which the Church offers humankind, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate fittingly adapted to the circumstances of time and place.
  • The Vatican (The Holy See) – The Catholic Church’s Headquarters. All you need to know about the pope, cardinals, encylicals, and the like.
  • Catechism of the Catholic Church – For more than a decade bishops, theologians, and other experts worked on a “compendium of all Catholic doctrine regarding both faith and morals.” The fruit of their work was the catechism, an organized presentation of the essential teachings of the Catholic Church in regards to both faith and morals.
  • The Bible with Daily Readings – The Catholic Approved Bible with all the books, Free Online.

  • Council of Catholic Women (CCW)- The National CCW consists of more than 3,000 affiliated Catholic women’s organizations, representing hundreds of thousands of Catholic women.   • Catholic Relief Services – An organization that assists impoverished and disadvantaged people overseas, working in the spirit of Catholic Social Teaching to promote the sacredness of human life and the dignity of the human person.
  • Food for the Poor – The largest international relief and development organization in the United States that provides housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief and micro-enterprise assistance in addition to feeding hundreds of thousands of people each day.

  • Relevant Radio – 1330AM “Talk radio for Catholic life” – a non-profit radio network with approval to serve the Archdiocese of St Paul-Minneapolis that is committed to providing quality, engaging programming that discusses the beauty of our Catholic Faith; especially as it relates to our day-to-day experiences and challenges.
  • The Catholic Spirit – Official Newspaper of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. It seeks to inform, educate, evangelize and foster a spirit of community within the Catholic Church by disseminating news in a professional manner and serving as a forum for discussion of contemporary issues.
  • EWTN – When Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) has become the largest religious media network in the world, transmitting programming 24 hours a day to more than 148 million homes in 144 countries and territories.
  • Catholic News Agency – CNA strives to provide free, up-to-the-minute news affecting the Universal Church, giving particular emphasis to the words of the Holy Father and happenings of the Holy See, to any person with access to the internet.
  • Morality in Media – The leading national organization opposing pornography and indecency through public education and the application of the law.
  • American Catholic – Home of the online editions of St. Anthony Messenger, Catholic Update and other Catholic features, and is a service of Franciscan Media (formerly known as St. Anthony Messenger Press)

Prayer & Devotions

  • Eucharistic Adoration – There is no better place to pray than in front of our Lord Himself.
  • Divine Office (also known as the “Liturgy of the Hours” or “Breviary”) – Follow along with the official Catholic Church’s book of daily prayers. Although only the priests are required to pray it, the laity are encouraged. The prayers match the daily readings, feasts, and special occasions. This is one of the best ways to begin improving your prayer life.
  • Age of Mary – Learn more about our Blessed Mother, including free online copies of St. Louis’ famous works, “True Devotion” and “the Secret of Mary”. A perfect place to go if you are considering making a Total Consecration to Blessed Virgin Mary, which has many spiritual benefits.

  • Fr. Hardon Archives – Learn from the man that taught Bl. Mother Teresa and her nuns about the Faith. Fr. Hardon is a modern day genius and saint, dying just over a decade ago. He gave countless talks and lectures on the Catholic Faith and this site lists most of his best work for free!!!
  • St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology – A research and educational institute that promotes life-transforming Scripture study in the Catholic tradition. Take one of their free online programs or read up on some Catholic reflections.
  • Catholic Information Service – A ministry started by the KofC to educate Catholics in their Faith. This free online program features some of the best speakers and talks in America. One of the best, easy-to-understand, programs available!
  • Marian Catechist Apostolate – One of the best ministries to join if you want to build a strong faith-filled soul. This program is not for the light hearted but is very beneficial and will definitely put you on the path of sainthood. Founded by Fr. Hardon (see his archives above).
  • Lighthouse Catholic Media – Not free resources but some of the best for a few dollars. Hundreds of CDs that cover all the most important topics of the Catholic Faith.
  • Dogmas – Ever wonder what we “need” to believe to be Catholic. Get a glimpse at this site. If you want to understand these topics better, go through the above websites or make an appointment with Fr. Hennen.

Defend the Faith (Apologetics)

  • Catholic Answers – An apostolate dedicated to serving Christ by bringing the fullness of Catholic truth to the world. We help good Catholics become better Catholics, bring former Catholics “home,” and lead non-Catholics into the fullness of the faith.
  • Catholic Apologetics Information – A hub of all the best articles on how to explain the Church’s stance on various topics such as evolution, morality, modern problems, Church doctrines, Judaism, Protestantism, Islam, and Buddhism.
  • Scripture Catholic – provides over 2,000 Scripture citations from the Old and New Testament that explain and defend the teachings of the Catholic Church. This site also provides hundreds of excerpts from the writings of the early Church Fathers (1st through 8th centuries). These writings explain the Fathers’ interpretation of Scripture and demonstrate that the early Church was unequivocally Catholic. Through the study of Scripture and the Church Fathers, we see that, not only is the Catholic faith biblical, Catholicism is Bible Christianity par excellence.
  • Word on Fire – Fr. Barron, one of the most popular Catholic speakers in the world, posts weekly video clips, commentaries and radio sermons and offers an audio archive of over  500 homilies. He does a wonderful job of bringing the Faith to the average person and explains those hard to understand theological teachings in a way that even Non-Catholics can relate to.

Most of all, the dignity of the human person from conception until natural death, the biblical definition of marriage as between one man and one woman, and in religious freedom for all people.
  • TFP – The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) is an organization of lay Catholic Americans concerned about the moral crisis shaking the remnants of Christian civilization.
