Home/Our Parish/Sacraments/Baptism

Baptisms are preferably celebrated within one month of the child's birth. Parents are required to attend Baptism Preparation class before their child’s baptism; baptisms can be scheduled after any weekend Mass anytime after the Baptism Preparation class. This one and one-half hour class is held on the fourth Saturday of the month at 3:00 PM at the parish office and covers the selection of godparents for your child and the Rite of Baptism.  Please call the parish office three months before the baby’s birth to register for the class (unless you've had a class within 4 years with other children) and to schedule your child's baptism.

"It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. On coming out of the water, he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him. And a voice came down from the heavens, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased." " Mark 1: 9-11
