Ministry Group Guidelines
Ministry Group Guidelines

At The Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe, we are proud to offer a variety of ministry groups.

In order to have a common understanding of expectations and help facilitate communication and coordination between the groups and church staff, guidelines have been developed.

All groups are asked to review and adhere to the guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact our church office at 763.972.2077 x 101 or by email at cath@stmaxkolbechurch.org.

Thank you for your involvement.

Directory of Ministries and Organizations

Music is an essential element of liturgy, inspiring people to praise God with one voice in a unique, spiritual way. The Churches of St. Peter and St. Joseph are blessed with a vibrant group of musicians who have formed various choirs to serve the music needs of our parish. There are opportunities for all to share their musical gifts.

Cantors: The cantor’s primary responsibilities are singing the responsorial psalm and assisting the assembly with the singing of the hymns and acclamations.

Children’s Choir: This choir is for children in grades Pre-K through eight. The children will sing 5-6 Masses per year.  The children practice every Wednesday 6pm-6:45pm in the music room at St. Maxmilian Kolbe School.

Liturgical Choir: This choir is open to anyone who wants to sing God’s praises at the 8:00 a.m. Masses the first and third Sundays of the month from October through May.

Ensemble Choir: This choir is for high school age and adult singers for the 10:30 a.m. Mass.

Funeral Choir: This choir supports the assembly at funerals. Instrumentalists: Instrumentalists are always in great need for holidays or to accompany the choir.
